In this post we will examine Anuk-Su-Namun at the end of the first Mummy film.
In this scene we see Anuk-Su-Namun pick up a knife and attack Evelyn. While in the beginning of the film we saw Anuk-Su-Namun uphold gender stereotypes we see her break them now. Anuk-Su-Namun fights with Evelyn physically, she’s allowed to make noise as she fights.
Anuk-Su-Namun goes against gender stereotypes by being aggressive and noisy instead of passive and quiet.
