In this episode, Todd decides to join an improv group which turns out to be more than just a group. As Diane returns from “Cordovia” she decides to hide out at BoJack’s place to keep her husband from finding out that she changed her mind. The biggest part of the episode is when BoJack has issues with Lenny and is invited over for dinner. When they are eating dinner, they have a dispute about the film and so Lenny plans to sabotage BoJack’s plans. Then Princess Carolynn finally decides to make her new company and leave Vigor. At the end of the episode, BoJack decides to break up with Wanda.
Obviously the episode fails the Bechdel Test. There was no direct dialogue between female characters. The episode also didn’t have nearly as much showtime of females as it did for the males. The episode does contrast some typical gender roles by having Kelsey as a director and Princess Carolyn running her own company. The series is close but not quite there.
