In this episode of Grace and Frankie, Robert is still in the hospital and Grace and Frankie offer to pick up some things for the men from their home. While they are at the house, Grace and Frankie are both very bothered by their ex-husbands new lifestyle without them. Robert and Sol’s neighbor came over and Grace and Frankie decide that they don’t want to help Robert and Sol, so they ask the neighbor who kindly agrees to take the things to the hospital. While all of this is happening, Sol and the children are trying to clear up the hospital expenses and the health insurance.

    • When the family wakes up in the hospital, Sol is very stressed out about the hospital bills and the wedding, but Grace takes charge and tells everyone what they need to do for the family.

    • While at Robert and Sol’s house, Frankie proceeded to steal from them, but Grace yelled at her and told her she can’t.
  • Dominant
    • Grace interrupts Sol, when he starts talking about his wedding with Robert, by bringing up her frustrations to do with her wedding with Robert.
    • When Grace goes to her old house, she exclaims, “everything is wrong in this place!”.

    • Grace, with the help of Frankie, finally comes to the conclusion that she doesn’t want to take Sol’s things back to the hospital.
    • Before leaving the house, although yelling at Frankie, Grace allows them to take one item each.

    • When the doctor came out and said Robert was okay, Grace was especially happy to hear the news.

    • Even though Grace and Frankie get in a slight argument, Grace doesn’t leave Frankie because she knows that Frankie will need a ride home.

    • Grace is very eager to help Robert and Sol with whatever they need.

    • Grace, after expressing her frustration, realizes that Robert and Sol are happy together and live a very cozy life.

Frankie Bergestein

    • Frankie gets stuck in a exercise chair, instead of making Grace come to help her, she works to get out of the chair on her own.

    • While talking to Grace at Robert and Sol’s house. Grace acts like she has to help Robert and Sol, but Frankie makes it known that they don’t, in fact Frankie says she doesn’t want to.
  • Willing to take risks
    • Frankie begins to steal things from Robert and Sol’s house out of frustration and jealousy.
  •  Dominant
    • The men have a lot of boxes/packages at their house, full of wedding gifts, and Frankie tells Grace that she hopes Sol trips on one.
  • Agressive
    • When Frankie tries to get a snack from the vending machine, she starts pounding on the machine because the snack is stuck.
  • Individualistic
    • Grace finds Frankie laying upside down on an exercise chair, smoking and mediating.

Feminine Traits:

  • Cheerful
    • Grace and Frankie are very cheerful towards each other while they bond at Robert and Sol’s house.
  • Loyal
    • Although Frankie hasn’t lived with Sol for months, she still knows where everything of his is and should be.
  • Soft-spoken
    • Frankie is very soft-spoken with Grace even though they got into an argument.

 

In this episode, Grace is depicted as more feminine while Frankie more masculine. Grace seems to be more sensitive towards her situation with Robert and Sol. Additionally, Robert being in the hospital has been taking a toll on her, both mentally and physically. Frankie, on the other hand, has had her closure with Sol and is now pushing Grace to do the same.
