The NELKBOYS are a very popular Youtube Channel that has only gotten more popular in recent years. The channel consists of 6 guys who are all in their younger 20’s. Their content consists of them partying and pranking along with more content. The men on this channel all very strongly express masculine sex roles. They wear jerseys, backwards hats, and also are very aggressive and dominant. They even have a line of clothes called full send which consists mostly of partying gear and men’s clothes. Although their audience is mostly men, they do have girl’s clothes as well, mostly to try to expand their boundaries. The group talks to their fans in the videos by saying things like, “what’s up boys” knowing their audience is quite masculine. They flirt with girls and talk about girls in vulgar ways. The are very unsensitive to how other people feel and you can see this in their pranks. NELK makes fun of people for the way they act, dress, and speak. Although it may not be all that serious, their content is filled with this stuff. In their most recent video they were “trolling” Trump supporters and make fun of all different types of people. This channel and the guys who run it follow masculine gender roles in every video. Their audience is mostly college boys who like the same activities. The followers of this channel are most likely influenced by this and are against breaking gender roles because this channel is against it as well. Most times a gender role is broken in this video, it is made fun of with no leeway.
