Based off of Kehlani’s Instagram, her representation leans more masculine than feminine. The only feminine trait that was seen was that she loves children. Through her social media, you can see that she loves her child and takes care of them well. This goes within the boundaries of normative representation of gender and sexuality. However, Kehlani does go outside of the normative representations as she is ambitious, assertive, defends her beliefs, is independent, has a strong personality, and is willing to then take a stand. All of these things are seen as normative representations for men rather than women. It is then clear through Kehlani’s social media that she has more masculine traits than feminine, breaking boundaries.
