Bechdel Test: pass or fail and why

This episode in particular 100% fails the Bechdel test. This episode rarely touched on gender; there was VERY little woman presence in the episode. I wish there was more material to write about!
Other themes noticed:
- Two and a half minutes in, BoJack acts misogynistic towards some female fans at the bar taking pictures of him. He says, “Maybe because you’re skinny, and maybe because you’re pretty, you’re so used to getting away with things.” And then he proceeded to sleep with her (lol). It seems like BoJack is comfortable talking that way to women as well, along with a lot of other men in today’s world.
- There is a scene in a grocery store about halfway through. In this scene, a lot more women extras can be seen shopping around and checking out, while only a couple of men are seen in the entire store. I guess that’s going back to traditional sex roles where women do the cooking and shopping while men work the 9-5 and make the money.
- BoJack and Navy Seal Neal McBeal argue for most of the entire episode about who gets to keep the box of muffins in the grocery store. Although you may find instances of women fighting each other over shoes or dresses in stores, I feel like it is a lot more common occurrence to see men argue about random things. This debate between the two alpha-male figures got so heated, that it was broadcasted live on the news nationwide! BoJack eventually got so upset that he disregarded Neal’s 10 months in active military service completely saying that Neal’s being in Afghanistan was meaningless.
