The image gives a different message than what Aerosmith meant by this song. This is not your stereotypical Aero song, it’s actually the opposite. A love song that gives a woman grace.

Masculinity (within the music video)(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBTOGVb_cQg )

  • Direct – tells us how he feels about the woman he is talking about

The only “masculine” trait I could find was him being direct with his feelings. Otherwise, the song takes a new POV. It is not a typical rock song, it’s a love song sung by a man who is emotional, dependant, and in love. All things not masculine, at least in society’s eyes.

Femininity (in the music video)

In the music video, they use a woman to portray the angel Steven Tyler is referring to in the song. She is graceful as she is floating around the room dressed as an angel. She is dependant because she continually reaches and touches Steven’s body. Lastly, she is gentle with her touch and presence.
