Stereotypical
Man living dangerously: In this commercial we have the idea that men take more risk then females introduced throughout. The father of the family is the only one seen taking risk and therefore getting the punishment for those risk. The females are not seen as getting any of the punishments because they are not the ones taking any of the risk.
Females don’t talk: I think in this entire commercial the female actors say a whole two line and those lines have like three words in it. It is not enough to just put females in your commercial they actually need to have lines and talk too. The motherly figure stereotype is also shown in this commercial however it is not enforced or discussed.
Non-Stereotypical
Man in a bathtub: Usually in commercials we see females in bathtubs and naked and sexualized. However in the opening scene of this commercial we see a man in a bathtub, he is not really sexualized however we do not normally see men appear in this context so I thought it relevant to put here.
