Feminine:
- The housekeeper was checking on Mel as she thought she heard a scream. She is super caring and wants Mel to feel welcome.
- Some of the older women are shown sewing which is a very distinctly feminine thing to do.
- Muriel is very flirty with Jack even though she is many many years older than him.
- Jack shows concern for Mel when she comes into the restaurant all wet. He gives her clothes to wear why he drys her clothes.
- Jack is very respectful of boundaries with Mel which is uncommon for men and can mostly be characterized as a female trait.
Masculine:
- Hope was very intelligent on the subject of fly fishing which is unique because most woman would not be expected to know a lot about fly fishing.
- Doc calls Hope out for being bullheaded.
- Jack is taking initiative in taking care of the bar, specifically during the power outage when most of the town is over.
- The tow truck driver is not wanting medical care because he does not think he needs it, however, he has serous medical issues. This is a stereotype that men do not like to go to the doctors.
