Time Magazine Person of the year 2012 goes to Barack Obama, once again since he is the presidential candidate.
The cover for this one definetly shows masculine features, compared to the 2008 cover; Obama’s last time as Person of the Year. While the 2008 cover has a lot of color, showing a front facing smiling man and a more vibrant cover with a femenine tone; the 2012 cover is the opposite.
This cover has barely any color, as Obama is in a shadow where you can barely see his face. He is also no longer smiling and is looking to the bottom right of the screen which is similar to the first cover since he is not looking at the reader in that one too. There is definitely a masculine tone to this cover as it is trying to show power. The only femenine feature would be how he isn’t looking at the reader.
