This commercial from Duracell (battery company) presents a Seahawk football player and his narrated story of how he got to where he is even with a disability. He was born deaf and relies on a hearing aid to hear. He discusses how he was bullied when he was younger and has had to struggle with this disability even with his most beloved sport (football).  As the commercial continued you can see the football player growing to his full abilities and achieving so much but yet being faced with failure. This didn’t stop him nor did his disability because he grew into a professional football player despite all of his challenges. This commercial shows a great message about dedication and pushing ourselves to the limit to reach success.

It’s a fantastic commercial supporting people with disabilities and showing respect for this man’s story. Understandably considering there is a lead male character in this commercial we will see more male-dominated scenes. They did present his mother and young female children in the commercial. While this might be a male-dominated commercial advertisement for batteries I noticed that they do try to include females in their commercial. Especially considering this commercial was from the perspective of one person that one person is the only person that needs to be in the commercial. All other scene actors or actresses are the judgment factor towards what gender this commercial leans towards for male or female customers.

My final judgment on this commercial is that yes it is leaning towards male viewers versus female viewership but with that being said I thoroughly enjoyed the commercial and thought it can be relatable towards women as well.
