Time Magazine chose the people who spoke out against sexual assault for Person of the year in 2017.

This cover is very different to the most recent ones, which have involved mostly men by themselves, as we can see 5 women. This movement later evolved into the #Metoo where the idea of speaking out and breaking gender stereotype. We can see women wearing dark clothes, covering most of their body, with their arms completely covered, and a serious face. This is very uncommon for femenine covers, so we can see the clear intention to break those rules.

All the women present are also looking directly at the reader, which is more common for men in covers, and the lack of smiling also gives the image a different tone that what is usually seen with covers starring groups of women.
